Terms & Conditions

1. Using CAMPORA
CAMPORA is a marketplace where students and non-student vendors may browse, buy, and sell, subject to these terms. You must provide accurate information, protect your account, and use the platform lawfully. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and must promptly report suspected unauthorised access.
2. Accounts and verification
Verification is an additional trust signal; an unverified account is not, by that fact alone, fraudulent. Student applicants must provide genuine current enrolment evidence. Non-student vendors may apply as individual traders or businesses and must provide truthful information and any requested supporting evidence. Do not impersonate another person, falsify documents, or misrepresent your identity, student status, or business.
Verification applications are subject to review. Stage 1 approval is not final verification. Applicable fees and payment status will be shown in the verification flow. A student who has paid for student verification is not charged a second vendor-verification fee solely to access the vendor-selling privileges covered by that student verification. Any coupon or waiver is valid only under the displayed rules and cannot be transferred.
3. Listings and seller responsibilities
Listings must be lawful, accurate, available, and described honestly. Sellers must accurately represent price, condition, specifications, location, availability, and material limitations. Use photos you are entitled to use and do not use misleading or copied images to misrepresent an item. Keep listings updated and remove or mark items unavailable when they are no longer available. Do not manipulate visibility through deceptive duplicate listings.
Unverified accounts may publish up to five active listings. Verified accounts may receive additional listing privileges. These limits do not guarantee sales, search placement, or promotion.
4. Buyer responsibilities
Buyers must communicate honestly, respect other users, and not submit fabricated payment evidence, knowingly false complaints, or abusive refund or dispute requests. Before paying, buyers should confirm the item, seller, price, delivery or collection arrangements, and any additional charges.
5. Prohibited conduct
You must not: (a) scam, defraud, impersonate, threaten, harass, or abuse another person; (b) list illegal, prohibited, dangerous, or unlawfully restricted goods or services; (c) submit false verification information; (d) manipulate reviews, ratings, reports, listings, or marketplace systems; (e) steal accounts, access another account without permission, or exploit payment or technical systems; or (f) use CAMPORA to facilitate unlawful activity.
6. Reports, enforcement, and three-strike process
A report is a request for review and is not itself proof of a violation. An authorised CAMPORA administrator reviews available evidence before confirming a violation. For ordinary confirmed violations, the process is: first strike — formal warning; second strike — final warning and possible temporary restrictions; third strike — permanent account ban. Strikes do not automatically expire. Serious misconduct may lead to immediate restrictions or a ban where warranted. Enforcement decisions should be recorded with the relevant evidence and reason.
Users may appeal an enforcement decision through the support route provided by CAMPORA. Appeals are reviewed by an authorised reviewer, and erroneous strikes or restrictions may be corrected or reversed. Appeals do not guarantee reinstatement. CAMPORA may preserve relevant records to investigate abuse, protect users, and comply with legal obligations.
7. Transactions, safety, and consumer rights
Unless a specific CAMPORA checkout service clearly states otherwise, buyers and sellers arrange peer-to-peer payment and fulfilment directly. CAMPORA does not guarantee another user’s conduct, item quality, delivery, or payment. Meet safely, inspect items where practical, and avoid sharing passwords, one-time codes, or unnecessary personal information. Nothing in these terms removes any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Moderation and service availability
CAMPORA may review reports, remove or restrict listings, suspend features, or restrict accounts to enforce these terms, investigate credible safety concerns, protect the service, or comply with law. We aim to apply rules fairly but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or prevent every harmful interaction.
9. Privacy and third-party services
Authentication, database, and file storage may be provided through third-party services. Personal data and verification documents should be handled under CAMPORA’s Privacy Policy, access controls, and applicable law. Submit only information requested for the relevant purpose.
10. Updates and contact
Material changes may require users to review and accept updated terms. Continued use after a properly communicated update may be subject to the updated terms, to the extent permitted by law. Use CAMPORA’s in-app support route for questions or reports, or visit Moderation appeals to challenge a confirmed enforcement decision.
